We help children in need! Projekt Schwarz-Weiß e.V. (association Black-White) is a children aid project that supports Africa's orphans. In the by us looked after Nice View Children`s Village in Kenya find abandoned, orphaned and abused children a new home. The overall concept is to provide them with everything they need, from being a small baby up until independence. Again this year we will be supported by Open-Air-Freunde Empfenbach e. V.. Part of the proceeds go to Project Schwarz-Weiß e.V., and we will also be present on Saturday and Sunday with an information and sales booth.

June 2019: Liam and Eliana

On June 4, Nice View received a call from the Youth Welfare Office requesting that an approximately 3-month-old twin couple be accepted in Nice View. The mother had died at birth. The father, with whom the mother was not married, keeps himself afloat as a laborer. The babies were housed with the grandmother, who also has to care for the 3 older siblings and other grandchildren. The grandmother is also no longer the youngest, the grandfather has an alcohol problem. The older siblings never went to school because the money is missing at every turn. Also for baby food.

May 2019: Visit the Star of the Sea Academy

Teachers, parents and students of the "Star of the Sea Academy" in Mombasa, visited the children's village a while ago. They played with the children and had lunch with them.

This visit was organized by one of the teachers, and Nice View was happy to receive food and clothing donations.

Since Nice View is relatively rarely supported by locals, we were particularly pleased about it.

May 2019: Surgery Joshua

Dear godparents, friends and supporters,

We are pleased to report that Joshua was successfully operated on April 29th. He is fine, and he already feels very comfortable in Germany.

After spending the first week after surgery in bed, he was allowed to get up for the first time on May 6 and take his first steps. However, he still needs a lot of patience, because he must not burden the leg for weeks.

April 2019: Incubator

Dear godparents, friends and supporters,

We are pleased to report that the Nice View Clinic has been able to purchase an incubator.

Previously, however, the team in Kenya had to overcome several obstacles. Some companies were unwilling to make a cost estimate or could not provide a device description. Also, it was not easy to get all the supplies.

April 2019: Nice View Reporter

A group of employees of FLMH (a communications and advertising agency based in Berlin) traveled for their project ‘Nice View Reporter’ to Msambweni a few weeks back. The participating students should be taught basic skills in photography, image selection and image editing. It was also discussed what it really means to be a reporter, how to gather information for reports and publish them on the internet.

March 2019: Haji

Haji, one of the first children admitted to the Children's Village almost 20 years ago, successfully completed his teaching studies at the end of last year. So good that he could have gone on with the master right away. However, he has decided to first gain experience in practical work and to further his education during the school holidays.
