October 2019: Awarded Federal Cross of Merit

On October 16, Gudrun Dürr was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit for her life's work in Nairobi.

The friendly association Projekt Schwarz-Weiß e.V., founded by her more than 20 years ago, initially consisting of only a few members and urgently in search of first godfathers and sponsors, has meanwhile become well-known beyond the country's borders. The Nice View projects in Kenya, initiated by her and her family, supervised locally and under a Trust Foundation, are a great success despite all adversities:

October 2019: Joshua

After almost 3 months in Germany and trips to, for example, Legoland or Switzerland, Joshua has been back in Kenya since July. Unfortunately, the hip bone is still not completely grown together, and he must not walk longer distances without crutches. But we are in good spirits!

He is currently in the 8th grade and preparing for the final exam.

Oktober 2019: Music Videos

Dr. Harald C. Gäckle from Ulm, together with his team, recorded songs professionally in the children’s village in the summer and shot the corresponding music videos. The children had eagerly awaited him as he had been in the children's village the year before and had taken first videos with the children. Something that was real fun for them.

Unfortunately, we are not allowed to publish these for legal reasons.
To avoid this dilemma, the children now had a year to write their own songs. We are amazed at what came out of it. The children can rightly be proud!

October 2019: Kahindi

Dear godparents, friends and supporters,

After Kahindi had a three-week contract with his former teacher as a painter, and during that time also lived in Diani, he decided to move out and stand on his own two feet.

He now runs a stand in Diani with his former teacher and paints and sells his paintings there. In addition, he has rented a room in Diani, which was equipped by Nice View with furniture. He can also always contact the ones responsible in Nice View if there are any problems.

We wish Kahindi all the best!

July 2019: Eliana and Liam

The twins have developed splendidly in the last few weeks. Since the team in Kenya did not want to separate them, they are now for the time being together in a room in the boys house. However, they are quite active at night and thus disturb the general night's sleep. Later they will move to the girls house, which is more central located and currently being renovated.
